Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 23, 2026
1. Who We Are
Lead Snare(“Lead Snare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Lead Snare field-sales CRM application available at https://lead-snare.vercel.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Profile Information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and the workspace name you choose. If you invite team members, we store their email addresses and assigned roles.
2.2 Lead and Contact Data
Lead Snare is a tool for capturing and managing sales leads. Any lead records you create — including names, business names, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, and custom fields — are stored on our servers and are your data. We process this data solely to provide the service to you.
2.3 Uploaded Images
You may upload photos of business cards, event badges, and other images to associate with lead records. These images are stored securely and are only accessible to members of your workspace.
2.4 Usage and Technical Data
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring, debugging, and improving the service. We do not sell or share this data with third-party advertisers.
2.5 Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe’s privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.
2.6 Google / Gmail Data
If you choose to connect your Gmail account, we request limited OAuth permissions to provide Gmail-related features. See Section 5 for full details on how Google user data is handled.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and workspace
- To store and display the lead records and data you enter
- To provide AI-assisted lead enrichment features when enabled
- To create Gmail drafts on your behalf when you use the Gmail connector
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, team invitations)
- To monitor service health, debug errors, and prevent abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your lead data, contact data, or Gmail data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Lead Snare service to you.
4. Data Storage and Security
Lead Snare is hosted on Vercel (application) and Supabase (database and file storage). Both providers maintain industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS).
Access to your workspace data is restricted by row-level security policies. Only authenticated members of your organization can access your organization’s records. We do not access your data except as required to provide the service or respond to a verified support request.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
5. Google and Gmail Data
Lead Snare’s use of Google user data
Lead Snare’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5.1 What Gmail Permissions We Request
When you connect your Gmail account, Lead Snare requests the following OAuth scopes:
- gmail.compose — create and manage email drafts
- gmail.readonly — read thread metadata to associate emails with leads
- userinfo.email — identify the connected Gmail account
- userinfo.profile — display the connected account name
5.2 How We Use Gmail Data
- We use the gmail.compose scope solely to create email drafts in your Gmail inbox on your behalf when you click “Create Gmail Draft” in Lead Snare.
- We use the gmail.readonly scope solely to read email thread metadata to associate sent emails with lead records in your workspace.
- We use userinfo.email and userinfo.profile solely to identify and display the connected Gmail account in your settings.
5.3 What We Do Not Do With Gmail Data
- We do not sell, rent, or share your Gmail data with any third party.
- We do not use Gmail data for advertising or marketing purposes.
- We do not allow humans to read your Gmail content except when required by law or with your explicit consent for a support request.
- We do not use Gmail data to train AI or machine learning models.
- We do not transfer Gmail data to any party other than as necessary to provide the Gmail draft feature.
5.4 Revoking Gmail Access
You can disconnect your Gmail account at any time from Settings → Gmail Integration → Disconnect. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access removes all stored OAuth tokens from our database.
5.5 OAuth Token Storage
OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are stored encrypted in our database and are only used server-side to make authorized API calls on your behalf. Tokens are never exposed to the browser or to other users.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data and workspace data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible for a reasonable grace period before being scheduled for deletion.
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at privacy@lead-snare.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database/storage), Stripe (payments), and similar infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance.
8. Cookies and Tracking
Lead Snare uses session cookies necessary for authentication and to maintain your logged-in state. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
We may use server-side analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate usage patterns. This data is not linked to individual identities for advertising purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
Lead Snare is a business productivity tool intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- Access to the personal data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
- Portability of your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection to certain processing activities
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@lead-snare.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Lead Snare after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
